Review of Cradle Mattresses - Size 15x33

This is a nice mattress, however it is actually 15 x 31 1/2 instead of 15 x 33.When I put it in our cradle and saw that it was too short (you can see about an inch of the cradle bottom on both ends) I measured it with a tape measure.I tried to contact the company to see if this one was a mistake, I was told that they are standard size and asked "was I sure that it was too short?".Like they thought I couldn't see the bottom of the cradle and that I couldn't read a tape measure.I will still use the mattress but I have to put a rolled up cradle sheet at the end of it.

Review of Cariboo Bassinet Changer in Mahogany

This works very well with our gentle motions bassinet by Cariboo. We find that it is a little trouble to keep taking it off and putting it on, so we probably don't use it as much as we should, but when we do, it's very convenient. It comes with a "toweling liner" that is kind of ridiculous. It is the size of a hand towel, and it isn't waterproof, so if your baby has an accident, it leaks through it easily. I wouldn't purchase any of these extra liners from Cariboo ($$$), but I do recommend the Snoozy Organic Flannel Cotton Waterproof Multi Use Pad - 2 Pack. They work very well with it. All in all, it's a bit pricey, but if you have the Cariboo bassinet anyway, it's worth the added cost.

Cute designs but they shrink.I have to stretch the sheet back out after washing it and when I attempt to put it on the mattress it flips up.

Review of American Baby Company Heavenly Soft Chenille Bassinet Sheet

This is the BEST cradle sheet ever! My newborn was diagnosed with eczema at 3 weeks, and it seemed no matter what I washed his regular cradle sheet in, his cheeks would still be rough and rashy in the morning. (he rubs his cheeks on his sheet because the eczema itches)I ordered these (the blue and one in celery and ecru) and the first time he used it, the next moring his cheeks looked great! Not only that, but he slept from 1 a.m. until 7:30 that night! These sheets are the softest thing I have ever felt-I'm jealous! I wish they made these in a Queen-sized sheet set! =)
I would HIGHLY reccomend these to ANY parent! I'm purchasing these for his crib next!

Review of Baby Pad Set

I originally bought these in a 2 pack to use as changing pads on our Pack N Play changing table attachment. They are the only pads I've found that do not disentigrate in the wash after repeated uses. They do pill up on the surface rather quickly but that never bothered my daughter or myself. I usually fold one up and carry it in the diaper bag and use it at every changing. They are inexpensive and durable. Now I'm expecting a boy so I ordered this set in neutral colors. I enjoy the different sizes and continue to get many uses out of them.

Pros: organic flannel cotton top layer that also appears to be unbleached; very soft (quilted); absorbent; have held up to washing so far; haven't stained so far

Cons: they pill a little after being washed

Bottom line: I like them, and plan on buying the bigger size. Keep in mind that these are advertised as 'lap size'. Also, the TOP is 100% organic cotton; the backing is not. Don't remember what the filling is.

Since mattresses are so close to our babies, I wanted a mattress that would be safe (no pvc, other bad chemicals). This perfectly fit our needs. Just make sure you get sheets that fit properly. Some were a bit too tight and would cause the mattress to bow.

Review of Carters Keep Me Dry Flannel Bassinet Pad

This pad is tiny... I was expecting something more mattress-sized or at least something that would fit the pack-n-play, but all this will be good for is taking with us and using in public restrooms, or using underneath a sheet until our little one is moving around on the crib, and then it won't work at all because it's so small.

The dimensions of the pad are not given in the product information, which is too bad because if I had known, I wouldn't have purchased it.

Overall I am satified with this product, but just as an FYI to buyers - When I washed the mattress protector for the first time, it did shrink from 29 inches to 27 1/2 inches WITHOUT drying it.This worked well for me because it was slightly too long for my bassinet, but who knows how much it would have shrunk if I had dried it.

It is sturdy and has NO chemical smells.I question what makes it waterproof if it's just 100% cotton, but it does seem to repel water.

The bassinet we have for our baby is one we received from friends who used it for all of their kids.The mattress, or pad, it came with was flimsy and made of foam.This mattress is perfect.I did not have any size issues since I actually measured my bassinet before ordering to make sure it was the right fit.The mattress fits great, is firm but, not rock hard and has a built-in protector for spit-up or other accidents.I love that it is organic, so no need to worry about what chemicals your baby is inhaling.

This is a nice and soft pad, however, what the description does not mention is that only the surface material is organic cotton. The filling is 100% polyester and it is backed with 100% polyurethane tricot, and this renders it not reversible. Also, it is not a thin pad, like I assumed, and it won't fold flat and carry easily. I called the manufacturer as I was concerned about what was used for the microbial protection and was informed that no chemical protection was used, the protection comes from the way the fabric is made. I have yet to try how waterproof it is. Nice and soft, but thicker than I thought it was, and I don't like that it is filled with the polyester for padding.

Vinyl Free Waterproof Pad, November 30, 2008


I bought a set of these pads and now I'm buying another. They are just so useful. I use them under my baby (who was a premie as is now 9 weeks and 9 lbs) all the time, whether on the bed, on the couch, or anywhere else I'm worried about spitup or other accidents. I'm also going to get some bigger ones for when he grows, but I still want more in this size because they're so handy.

I was looking for a waterproof pad that was not vinyl, partly because I can't stand the smell of vinyl and partly because it makes my baby sweat. These are perfect.

Pros:
- Waterproof
- Lightly quilted, which my little guy likes, and the padding absorbs liquid really well - so well that sometimes I have to feel twice to check if it's really wet.
- Easy care: I throw them in the washer and dryer, and they've been washed dozens of times already and are holding up well.

Cons:
- The organic flannel fabric does pill, so if you're really adverse to pilling these might drive you nuts, but for me their usefulness outweighs this con by far.

Review of Snoozy 100% Organic Cotton Bassinet Pad Beige

I haven't purchased this product but feel, in its defense, that it deserves better than two stars from people who clearly were misled by the words "organic cotton bassinet pad" into thinking that this was for a crib. My husband and I were uncertain what part of "bassinet pad" looked like "crib" or "crib mattress cover," and hope other people might give the product a chance, perhaps by correctly reading the product description!
